Position Summary:
The medical roamer can be a paramedic, AEMT (Advanced Emergency Medical Technician), EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), RN (Registered Nurse), or nursing technician that will respond to emergencies at the event's location. They will be strategically placed within the area to roam within designated areas and to respond quickly to emergencies. Events may be indoor or outdoor.
Position Qualification:
Paramedics:1 year of related experience in the field.
Nurses: 1 year of related experience in nursing.
AEMT/EMT: Must have worked in the field or in the hospital environment for 6 months
EDT: Must have worked in the ED or ICU for 6 months.
AEMT/EMT must have BLS
Paramedic/RN must have BLS/ACLS/PALS (RN: TNCC/ATCN) (Paramedic: PHTLS/ITLS)
Must be able to walk varying amount of distances indoors and outdoors.
