Global Gourmet Catering is looking for a part-time Event Line Cook in San Francisco, CA, who's ready to make waves in the event space! Pay: Our Event Line Cook earns $22.00 - $26.00/hour.

Schedule: This part-time role requires flexibility, as your schedule depends on our event calendar. You'll need to be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as directed.

HIGHLIGHTS OF BECOMING OUR PART-TIME EVENT LINE COOK:

Every shift will bring something different depending on the event! You'll need to be flexible and ready for just about anything. As directed by the head chef, you'll prepare and plate innovative dishes according to the event's schedule. You'll find the balance between quality, consistency, and punctuality while upholding high food safety and sanitation standards. During off-site events, you'll help set up, stage, and organize the kitchen space and then tear everything down at the end of the event. If any problems come up, you'll work with your kitchen team, the head chef, and FOH staff to take care of the issue and keep the event on track!

What You Need:

  • 2+ years of professional culinary experience, preferably in a catering, banquet, or high-volume environment
  • Excellent knife skills and solid knowledge of various cooking techniques
  • Exceptional food safety and sanitation knowledge
  • Ability to learn new menus and adapt to event requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 50 lbs., work indoor and outdoor events, and regularly carry/handle kitchen equipment
  • Strong work ethic, a team spirit, and a commitment to showing up on time every day
  • Reliable transportation to and from events
  • High school degree or equivalent
