Responsibilities/Job Description:

Here at Fairview EMS, we are currently looking for EMT's to join our Event Team!

 

We have been effectively meeting the needs of our community for more than 134 years. Our headquarters facility, located in St. Paul, was built in 2010 in partnership with the St. Paul Port Authority.  We support our community by providing more than 60,000 calls annually using our innovative equipment.  In addition to providing high quality ambulance transportation, M Health Fairview EMS supports our communities with Special Event EMS Stand-by services.  Professional and amateur sporting events, large venue entertainment and concerts, community festivals.

 

This is a casual position, which is a great opportunity to pick your hours!

 

Event EMTs are part of the union. Pay ranges are from $20.00-$26.08. 

 

Provides BLS care to customers during special events as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Must provide exceptional customer service as outlined by HEMT and the event coordinator.
  • Provides effective and accurate communication with patients, families, physicians, and other members of the care team
  • Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, satisfaction and/or efficiency outcomes.
  • Provides BLS care to patients during events as necessary.
  • Assists ALS staff in emergent and non-emergent responses as deemed necessary.
  • Moving patients safely according to clinical and operational guidelines.
  • Documents patient information in EHR and/or other electronic system in accordance with program standards, department policies/procedures.
  • Safely and efficiently transfers care of patients to other care providers in appropriate setting.
  • Remains in good standing with the HEMT office of the Medical Director.
  • Must have the ability to meet minimum shifts throughout the year as set by leadership.


Required Qualifications

  • 1 year of prehospital care experience
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
  • EMT- Basic MN Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board
  • Nationally Registered Emergency Med Tech (NREMT-B)
Qualifications: $20.60- $26.86 Hourly
