THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE 

 

The Events and Meetings Manager is primarily responsible for developing, managing, leading and implementing, budgeting, and content of all conferences and events. Through this work, they will help enable ULTA Beauty to continue building a high-performing, guest-centric culture.

 

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY: 

 

  • Work closely with Operations Executive Team to create, enhance, and drive awareness and understanding of ULTA Beauty’s yearly and long-term plans and initiatives
  • Manage leadership meetings and activities such as Field Leadership Conference, District Manager biannual meetings, Field Culture meetings and other large-scale leadership meetings. This includes creation of Executive briefings, budgeting, air and ground travel, hotel accommodations, agendas, attendee lists, invitations, logistics, scripting, content development and venue management
  • Create, modify and manage online registration websites for events
  • Develop event themes that align with organizational strategies
  • Develop and manage all contract negotiations for conferences and events including managing the event budget
  • Lead corporate partners on content creation and presentations ensuring consistency with the event theme
  • Lead and manage all event-related internal/external staff and resources
  • Create tools to cascade content from conferences and events to the field leadership teams and identify timely and appropriate communications to ensure development and training is continued throughout the year
  • Orchestrate the communication between the field, operations, corporate partners and vendors
  • Selection and sourcing of sites and vendors for conferences and events
  • Primary owner of relationship with third party event agencies
  • Post-meeting management including survey creation, reconciliation of final billing and debriefs.

 

 :

THE ESSENTIALS OF SUCCESS 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in event management or coordination
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification preferred
  • Demonstrated advanced level with Microsoft Office product suite including Word and Excel
  • Expert proficiency with PowerPoint and presentation software
  • Expert contract negotiation skills and experience
  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously, with the ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, diverse, and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment
  • Cvent proficiency a plus
  • Sharp attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Convention Industry Council (CIC) or Certified Special Event Professional (CSEP) certification preferred       

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays, as required
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed

 : The pay range for this position is $90,800.00 - $119,200.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
