Job Summary

Lead second-shift operations at our Sun Valley Recycling facility, overseeing a team of 25 employees and driving safe, efficient plant performance. This role focuses on team leadership, process optimization, and coordinating maintenance in a fast-paced environment. MRF or plant experience is a plus, but strong leadership, accountability, and the ability to drive results are essential.

Schedule Expectations: 1:30pm to close (until last person leaves); some Saturdays depending on operational needs or after a major holiday. Shift supervisor may be asked to occasionally arrive earlier for training or other operational needs.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifies and oversees execution of procedures to maximize productivity and efficiency of the location.
  • Supervises and manages daily schedules of employees and operations.
  • Investigates, reviews and controls implementation of company regulations, policies and procedure and monitors for compliance.
  • Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures. Ensures maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Oversees personnel needs of the department including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
  • Compiles and interprets data from daily transactions.
  • Creates and submits weekly and month end reports to senior management.
  • Reconciles P card to end of month report.

III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
  • 4 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirements)

B. Preferred Qualifications

  • Weighmaster License, Solid Waste Operators Certificate, CDL.

Pay: The expected base pay range for this office/on-site position is $75,000 - $85,000 . This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay.
