Estimator - Civil Engineering
Location: Caribbean
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects in the Caribbean.
This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator looking to work on large-scale civil engineering schemes while joining an experienced international management team. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders and supporting the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
- Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications.
- Assess project risks, opportunities and commercial considerations.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams throughout the tender process.
- Prepare pricing submissions and supporting documentation.
- Contribute to value engineering and alternative construction methodologies where appropriate.
Requirements
- Approximately 10+ years' estimating experience within civil engineering.
- Previous experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor or a large civil engineering subcontractor.
- Strong background pricing heavy civils or major infrastructure projects.
- Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively to deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
