Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and documentation to determine project requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary project details.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
- Provide support during the bidding process, including preparing bid proposals and schedules.
- Monitor and update estimates as project scopes evolve or changes occur.
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all estimates and project-related activities.
Profile
A successful Estimator should have:
- Proficiency in preparing construction cost estimates with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams.
