Estimator – Mining / Geotechnical Construction

$70,000 – $100,000 Base Salary + Benefits

A growing heavy civil contractor specializing in mining and geotechnical construction is seeking an Estimator to join their team in the Denver area. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their estimating career who wants to grow with an established contractor working on complex infrastructure and underground projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for mining, geotechnical, and heavy civil construction projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
• Assist in preparing complete bid packages and proposals
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams
• Support budgeting and cost analysis throughout the preconstruction phase

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of estimating experience in mining, geotechnical, or heavy civil construction
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $70,000 – $100,000
