Description

  • Analyze construction plans, specifications, and drawings to define project scope
  • Perform quantity takeoffs, review vendor/subcontractor quotes, and develop accurate estimates using historical data
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy, client interviews, and presentations
  • Communicate and coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Solicit, evaluate, and prequalify subcontractors/suppliers; distribute project documents to bidders
  • Support preconstruction and design-assist efforts; contribute to plan reviews and project handoffs
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and research innovative methods, materials, and solutions
  • Build and maintain subcontractor relationships to strengthen bid coverage and outcomes
  • Assist in developing and executing winning bid strategies
  • Complete additional estimating-related tasks as directed

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
  • 3+ years estimating experience with demonstrated leadership in estimates
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of construction building means and methods
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
