Key Responsibilities
As the Estimator, you will support the preconstruction and estimating function, reporting into senior estimating leadership and collaborating closely with project management.
Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial and multi‑family construction projects
Perform accurate quantity take‑offs from drawings, specifications and other project documentation
Support subcontractor and supplier outreach, including bid solicitation and tracking
Assist with bid levelling, scope reviews and pricing analysis under the guidance of senior estimators
Maintain and update estimating databases and historical cost information
Review plans, specifications and addenda to ensure full and accurate scope coverage
Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation for tender submissions
Profile
The Successful Applicant
For the Estimator role, we are seeking:
2+ years' experience in construction estimating, project engineering or a related role (internships welcome)
A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline (preferred)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Fundamental understanding of construction methods, materials and terminology
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite
Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam or On‑Screen Takeoff (advantageous)
Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
The ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced, office‑based environment
