Job Details

Core Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for demolition, interior build-outs, and carpentry scopes
  • Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and site visits
  • Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing to develop competitive bids
  • Review project documents to determine scope, risks, and constructability
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes
  • Conduct site walks to assess existing conditions, especially for renovation and demolition work
  • Develop detailed bid proposals and present estimates to internal stakeholders
  • Maintain pricing databases and stay current on market conditions, materials, and methods

Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of estimating experience in construction, with a focus on demolition, interiors, or carpentry
  • Field experience in demolition, carpentry, or a related trade strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and materials
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and bid documents
  • Experience with takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Procore, STACK, or similar)
  • Solid mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience estimating renovation or tenant improvement projects
  • Knowledge of local building codes, safety standards, and demolition practices
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • High attention to detail—small errors can significantly impact project outcomes
