This role is responsible for producing accurate cost, time and labor estimates for precision aerospace components and processes by analysing technical drawings and manufacturing data. You will play a key role in supporting new business and production planning within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Description
Reporting into the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for the following:
- Analyze customer drawings, specifications and technical documentation to develop detailed time, cost and labor estimates
- Prepare and manage manufacturing routings and bills of materials to support production of aerospace components
- Review and acknowledge RFQs, ensuring technical requirements are clearly understood and addressed
- Build comprehensive quote packages for internal review and approval
- Source pricing and technical information from suppliers and external vendors
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to validate processes and machine capabilities
- Maintain accurate estimating records and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow all safety standards, PPE requirements and workplace organisation practices
- Support additional operational or estimating tasks as required
Profile
- Proven experience in estimating processes and timelines within an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of bills of materials, routings and cost estimation methodologies
- Familiarity with machining processes, equipment capabilities and production workflows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally
- Highly organised, self‑directed and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating-related systems
- Background in process or manufacturing engineering is advantageous
