General Job Description:

Quick Hire Opportunity!

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimating Specialist to join our growing residential single-family electrical construction team. This position supports pre-construction operations by preparing accurate estimates, reviewing plans, coordinating material pricing, and assisting with bid preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare residential electrical estimates and material takeoffs
  • Review blueprints, specifications, and builder requirements
  • Coordinate pricing with vendors and suppliers
  • Assist with budgeting and pre-construction planning
  • Maintain accurate bid and estimating records
  • Communicate with project managers, field staff, builders, and suppliers
  • Identify scope gaps and project risks
  • Attend occasional builder meetings and job site visits
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Education: None Minimum Years of Experience: 2-4 Specific Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Experience in residential electrical estimating or construction
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings
  • Strong math, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient with computers and estimating software
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
  • Must pass pre-employment background screening

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office and occasional field/site work
  • Prolonged computer use and desk work
  • Ability to walk active construction sites as needed
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
