We are seeking experienced and certified instructors to provide foundational training for juvenile justice adjudicated youth in residential and detention center settings throughout the state of Connecticut. These positions offer the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of youth by equipping them with valuable career skills and certifications. Instructors will dedicate 8-10 hours per week to prepare students for certification and workforce readiness. Hourly salary ranges from $34-$42 depending on the position, certification and experience.

Qualifications
Required
- Current Connecticut Esthetician License in good standing
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a licensed esthetician
- Demonstrated expertise in skincare treatments, facials, hair removal, makeup application, sanitation practices, and client consultation
- Knowledge of Connecticut Department of Public Health regulations and industry standards
- Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills
- Ability to teach both theoretical concepts and hands on practical skills
- Experience using technology for instruction, documentation, and student assessment
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Preferred
- Connecticut Occupational School Instructor certification or eligibility to obtain instructor certification
- Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or workforce development experience
- Experience working with high school students, adult learners, or career and technical education programs
- Certifications in advanced esthetics techniques, including chemical peels, microdermabrasion, advanced skincare treatments, or related specialties
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Health Sciences, Cosmetology, or a related field
- Experience with student career placement, industry partnerships, and workforce readiness training
Physical Requirements
- Ability to demonstrate esthetician techniques and procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods during instruction and laboratory activities
- Ability to lift and transport instructional materials and equipment as needed
