Salary: $50,000–$55,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

A well-established private school near downtown Miami is seeking a Florida-certified ESE Teacher to join its team. What You'll Do
- Provide specialized instruction to exceptional students in an inclusion classroom.
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with the Miami-Dade County Public Schools pacing guide.
- Deliver instruction in accordance with each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Provide appropriate academic accommodations and modifications based on student needs.
- Foster students' academic, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress through assessments and maintain accurate academic and developmental records.
- Maintain attendance, grades, and required documentation.
- Collaborate with parents, administrators, therapists, social workers, and other educational professionals to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings, faculty meetings, professional development, and required trainings.
- Promote positive behavior using effective classroom management strategies.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies, state regulations, and inclusion practices.
- Follow emergency procedures and school safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) or eligibility to obtain certification required.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Experience teaching students with exceptional learning needs preferred.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and educational technology.
- Ability to learn and utilize school database systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
