Salary: $50,000–$55,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Start Date: August 3

Are you a passionate Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher dedicated to helping students reach their full potential? A well-established private school near downtown Miami is seeking a Florida-certified ESE Teacher to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an inclusive classroom environment where students receive individualized support and high-quality instruction.

What You'll Do
  • Provide specialized instruction to exceptional students in an inclusion classroom.
  • Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with the Miami-Dade County Public Schools pacing guide.
  • Deliver instruction in accordance with each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
  • Provide appropriate academic accommodations and modifications based on student needs.
  • Foster students' academic, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress through assessments and maintain accurate academic and developmental records.
  • Maintain attendance, grades, and required documentation.
  • Collaborate with parents, administrators, therapists, social workers, and other educational professionals to support student success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, faculty meetings, professional development, and required trainings.
  • Promote positive behavior using effective classroom management strategies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies, state regulations, and inclusion practices.
  • Follow emergency procedures and school safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) or eligibility to obtain certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching students with exceptional learning needs preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and educational technology.
  • Ability to learn and utilize school database systems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
