This position will be located in Mason County, WA.
This position is scheduled for 180-260 days/year, 8 hours/day. Work calendar is Monday- Friday.

This position requires a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) or Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDPT) credential issued by the Washington State Department of Health.

Purpose Statement
The job of Substance Use Disorder Professional/Trainee is done for the purpose/s of working within the True North Student Assistance program providing services that include substance use prevention, intervention, treatment, and referral services to students and their families who are impacted by behavioral health conditions; and assisting in the development of a safe and drug free learning environment for learning and teaching.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform single, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: applying assessment instruments; operating standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications; preparing and maintaining accurate records/case management; and utilizing group presentation skills.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: alcohol/drug abuse state and federal confidentiality laws; generally accepted substance abuse assessment, intervention, treatment and recovery process for adolescents and families; substance use counseling or prevention; physical and emotional development of adolescents; and behavioral health issues.
ABILITY is required to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; often gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; analyze data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Responsibility
Responsibilities include: working under direct supervision using standardized routines; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; operating within a defined budget. Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 70% sitting, 15% walking, and 15% standing. The job is performed under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness and in a clean atmosphere.
Experience
Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired.
Education (Minimum)
Targeted, job related education with study in job-related area.
