ERS Grade LevelDept Chairperson - Special Education

The Grade Level/Department Chair serves as a collaborative teacher leader who supports communication, coordination, and problem-solving within grade level or departmental teams. This position acts as the primary liaison between staff and building administration to ensure that instructional priorities, student needs, and operational concerns are clearly communicated and addressed in a timely and constructive manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as the liaison between the grade level/department team and building administration
• Facilitate communication of team needs, questions, and feedback to administration and share relevant information back to staff in a clear and timely manner
• Attend monthly leadership meetings* prepared with a solutions-oriented approach to grade level/department concerns
• Support a positive, collaborative team culture that values multiple perspectives and promotes professional respect and shared decision-making
• Help coordinate team-level discussions focused on instruction, student achievement, and school-wide initiatives as needed
• Meeting Dates for the 26-27 school year are as follows:
