The ERP Finance Technical Lead is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the financial aspects of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role serves as the primary finance-focused functional lead, ensuring that the ERP system effectively supports financial operations, reporting, controls, and compliance. The ERP Finance Technical Lead will coordinate with other ERP specialists, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and execute system changes while ensuring system stability and continuous improvement. Working as a key resource for the finance and technology teams, the ERP Finance Technical Lead works with finance SMEs to harmonize financial
requirements for TAIT Global with industry best practices and ERP capabilities to
continuously improve the effectiveness of the company’s financial systems.
 
The successful candidate will play a key role in TAIT’s migration to a future ERP platform.
This position is accountable for daily financial system support, monitoring and resolving service tickets, and delivering future ERP enhancements that improve financial accuracy, efficiency, and visibility across the organization.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • ERP Implementation and Integration (Finance-Focused)
  • Lead and contribute to the implementation of the ERP system across multiple locations, with a primary focus on financial modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, Procurement, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to ensure project timelines, milestones, and financial deliverables are clearly defined and upheld.
  • Partner with internal finance stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to document financial system requirements, configure ERP financial modules, and oversee user acceptance testing.
  • Act as the Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ERP financial processes & best practices, supporting system design, development, configuration, testing, and launch activities.
  • Support core system integration efforts, reduction in manual tasks and seamless &accurate financial data flow between ERP and upstream/downstream systems.
  • Working with finance, identify and drive a continuous improvement program for ERP.
  • ERP System Maintenance and Financial Support
  • Support ongoing maintenance and operational support of the ERP system with emphasis on financial accuracy, controls, and reporting integrity.
  • Monitor and manage financial-related service tickets to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Support defined Release and Change Management processes to ensure financial system stability, compliance, and sustainability.
  • Provide functional and technical support to finance end-users, to ensure best practices are followed and usage is efficient.
  • Support troubleshooting and recovery efforts during critical system outages impacting financial operations.
  • Ensure ERP financial configurations align with accounting standards, internal controls, audit requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Financial Process Optimization and Governance
  • Working with Finance leads, identify opportunities to improve financial processes through ERP enhancements, automation, and standardization.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting needs through ERP capabilities.
  • Support data governance initiatives to ensure financial data accuracy, consistency, and transparency across the organization.
Requirements:
  • 7+ of experience in ERP implementation, maintenance, and support, with at least 3 years in a managerial or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, or MS Dynamics, with demonstrated experience supporting financial modules.
  • Strong understanding of best practices, financial processes, accounting principles, and internal controls within an ERP environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with finance, IT, and business stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, assess, and resolve complex financial system issues.
  • Experience supporting change management initiatives related to ERP and financial system transformations.
 Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related experience required
  • HS diploma/GED required
