We are seeking an experienced ERP Business Process & Modernization Consultant<\/b> to lead cross -functional workshops documenting current (“as -is”) processes and defining future -state solutions within an enterprise SAP ERP environment<\/b>.
<\/p>

This role will analyze operational workflows, identify system and process gaps, and develop a structured modernization blueprint supporting an SAP S/4HANA upgrade<\/b> or transition to a new ERP platform<\/b>. The Consultant will translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements while guiding governance, change management, and implementation planning efforts.

The ideal candidate combines strong SAP expertise<\/b> with workshop facilitation and enterprise modernization experience.

Key Responsibilities<\/span>
<\/h1>

1. Project Leadership & Governance
<\/h3>
  • Conduct project kickoff sessions with executive leadership and key stakeholders
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Develop a comprehensive project plan, timeline, and stakeholder engagement strategy
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Establish governance structure, communication cadence, and performance KPIs<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    2. Current State (“As -Is”) Business Process Documentation
    <\/h3>
    • Lead structured workshops across enterprise functional areas including finance, treasury, budgeting, procurement, HR/payroll, asset management, and related ERP functions
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Document workflows, process maps, system dependencies, and integrations
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Identify system limitations, operational inefficiencies, and process gaps
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Develop issue logs and risk summaries<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      3. Future State & Modernization Strategy
      <\/h3>
      • Facilitate collaborative workshops to define future -state (“To -Be”) processes
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Conduct structured gap analysis between current and future states
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Recommend process optimization and automation opportunities
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Develop ERP modernization roadmap aligned with strategic objectives<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

        4. Requirements Development
        <\/h3>
        • Translate business insights into detailed functional and technical requirements
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Define specifications supporting SAP S/4HANA upgrade or alternative ERP implementation
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Identify data migration, reporting, governance, and change management requirements
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Provide structured training and compliance recommendations<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

          5. Executive Reporting & Deliverables
          <\/h3>
          • Deliver consolidated documentation including project plan, as -is documentation, future -state blueprint, requirements documentation, and final executive presentation
            <\/p><\/li>

          • Present findings and actionable recommendations to executive stakeholders
            <\/p><\/li>

          • Ensure deliverables are implementation -ready and decision -support focused
            <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

            Requirements<\/h3>

            Minimum Qualifications
            <\/span><\/h2>
            • Bachelor’s degree<\/b> in Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science, or related field<\/b>.
              <\/p><\/li>

            • 8+ years<\/b> of experience supporting ERP systems<\/b> in enterprise environments.
              <\/p><\/li>

            • 5+ years<\/b> of SAP functional or technical experience<\/b>.
              <\/p><\/li>

            • Demonstrated experience leading ERP modernization or transformation initiatives.
              <\/p><\/li>

            • Proven ability to conduct and facilitate cross -functional business process workshops.
              <\/p><\/li>

            • Experience developing detailed functional and technical requirements documentation.
              <\/p><\/li>

            • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
              <\/p><\/li>

            • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
              <\/p><\/li>

            • Experience developing process maps, gap analyses, and modernization roadmaps.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

              Preferred Qualifications<\/span>
              <\/span><\/h2>
              • Master’s degree<\/b> in Business, Information Systems, or related field.<\/b>
                <\/p><\/li>

              • Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration or implementation<\/b>.
                <\/p><\/li>

              • Prior experience evaluating or implementing alternative ERP platforms<\/b>.
                <\/p><\/li>

              • Experience in large, multi -department enterprise or government environments.
                <\/p><\/li>

              • Certification in SAP (functional or technical modules).<\/b>
                <\/b><\/p><\/li>

              • PMP, PMI -ACP, or other project management certification<\/b>.
                <\/p><\/li>

              • Change management certification (e.g., Prosci).
                <\/p><\/li>

              • Experience developing data migration and archiving strategies.
                <\/p><\/li>

              • Expertise in ERP reporting frameworks and dashboard modernization.
