Summary

The ERP Business Analyst contributes to the effectiveness and profitability of Times Microwave Systems by providing application expertise, business process support, and end user enablement for Oracle E Business Suite (EBS). This role ensures that business operations across Order Management, Supply Chain (INV/BOM/WIP/MRP), Financials (AR/AP/GL), and Manufacturing execute efficiently on the Oracle 11i platform. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams, translating business requirements into functional specifications, driving process improvements, and ensuring seamless system operation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide functional support for Oracle EBS modules including Order Management, Procurement, Inventory, BOM, WIP, MRP, AP, AR, and GL.
  • Work directly with business users to understand operational challenges and offer system based solutions.
  • Analyze, document, and refine business processes to ensure optimal use of system functionality.
  • Develop functional specifications for enhancements, reports, interfaces, extensions, and customizations.
  • Perform functional testing, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), and validate results for updates, patches, and new releases.
  • Troubleshoot functional issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate cross functional resolution efforts.
  • Support month end, quarter end, and year end close activities requiring system knowledge across financial and manufacturing modules.
  • Manage setups and configurations within Oracle EBS to align with business requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with technical developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to ensure stability, availability, and performance of the Oracle environment.
  • Develop training materials, conduct user training sessions, and ensure documentation is kept up to date.
  • Participate in project planning, impact assessments, and rollout activities for upgrades, patches, and new functionalities.
  • Ensure readiness for new features, coordinate release notes, and support change management practices.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Oracle E Business Suite 11i functional architecture across Financials, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Order Management.
  • Hands on experience with EBS setups, configurations, and functional troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience participating in or leading multiple Oracle EBS upgrades, including mandatory hands on experience upgrading from 11i to R12.
  • Ability to translate business processes into functional design and communicate requirements effectively.
  • Experience preparing BRDs, MD50s, test scripts, training guides, and process documentation.
  • Working knowledge of interfacing components such as Concurrent Programs, Oracle Reports, BI Publisher outputs, and workflows.
  • Ability to analyze issues involving PL/SQL based components and work collaboratively with Developers.
  • Familiarity with Oracle tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD, Workflow, and standard Oracle inquiry tools.
  • Experience with EBS patching, testing cycles, and release management activities.
  • Strong analytical skills including data validation, reconciliation, and process gap analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support cross functional teamwork.
  • Self motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of functional experience with Oracle EBS 11i/R12.
