Responsibilities

This is an entry level position supporting the Universitys ERP system. This position provides IT business systems analyst support for HR and payroll operational processes and systems, assisting in building, maintaining and coordinating of the development of business solutions and processes within the Universitys ERP system and other enterprise applications.

Primary responsibilities include benefits, routine mass terminations & appointments, dept. budget table funding rollover for year end, maintaining the lower testing environments and data, testing recruiting and onboarding in lower environments, supporting FACET reports, and creating simple to medium complexity queries. Provides support for the HR ERP system and other integrated applications. Analyzes, tests and assists with resolving various issues. Collaborates with campus partners, analysts, and developers as needed to deliver solutions. Primary focus areas not limited to Benefits, mass terminations, mass appointments, funding rollover, FACET support, and query creation.

Maintains lower ERP HR environments by ensuring data is current and in-sync for all modules within the ERP HR system, specifically the modules related to pay cycle processing from Benefits to Commitment Accounting. Performs testing while responding to inquiries from within ITS/BAS teams such as external applicant or candidate testing for recruiting and on-boarding, and others as requested.

Provides backup support for eORR, Training Administration, and Payroll Operations when the primary support analyst is absent or as needed This includes assisting with production support, troubleshooting, and testing as assigned.

Assists in developing, planning, and organizing procedures and testing scenarios to ensure the integrity of the ERP HR system. Provides suggestions for improvements/enhancements to the existing processes. Conducts research and analysis to resolve issues and recommend program configuration changes, as necessary.

Assists in documenting pertaining to custom programs and processes within modules of responsibility in research of new ERP functionality to address identified obstacles and opportunities for improvement.

Responsible for gathering business requirements needed for new design, development and maintenance of operational reports, programs, or modifications as well as configuration and implementation within the HR module.

Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.)

Preferred Qualifications

SQL or query experience preferred, including writing and modifying queries to support reporting, analysis, and data validation.

Experience supporting higher education enterprise HR and/or Payroll systems.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days - Foundation: Complete onboarding and ERP orientation, gain familiarity with HR and payroll systems and support processes, shadow team members on issue research, testing, and production support, and begin reviewing existing documentation and queries.

Days 31-60 - Active Contribution: Begin independently resolving lower-complexity issues, executing testing for system changes or integrations, supporting reporting through queries, updating documentation, and providing backup support as needed.

Days 61-90 - Ownership & Confidence: Serve as a primary analyst by independently analyzing issues, leading testing and validation efforts, supporting vendor integrations, and contributing confidently to ongoing HR Application Services operations.
