Lead the Team That Makes Life-Saving Care Possible.
At Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC), we show up for pets and the people who love them on some of their hardest days.
Behind every successful emergency hospital is a leader who creates an environment where great medicine, strong teams, and exceptional client care can thrive.
If you're passionate about developing people, solving problems, and building a workplace where everyone can do their best work—this could be your place.
Our Westville hospital is our first location, and we are proud to bring trusted, emergency-only care to the region.
But what truly defines EVCC isn't just what we do — it's how we do it.
Who We Are
EVCC was created by veterinarians, for veterinarians—and for the communities they serve. Founded by 36 local general practice veterinarians (many still actively involved today), we were built to support the veterinary community, not compete with it.
But what truly defines EVCC isn't just what we do—it's how we do it.
WE
- Lead with compassion.
- Build teams that support one another.
- Believe collaboration always beats ego.
- Communicate openly, honestly, and respectfully.
- Invest in our people because great patient care starts with a supported team.
- Never stop learning, improving, and growing.
What Life Is Like at EVCC
We genuinely care about whoever walks through our doors—whether it's a critical patient, an anxious pet parent, or a teammate who needs support after a tough shift.
Emergency medicine is fast-paced. It's unpredictable. It's challenging.
It's also one of the most rewarding places to build a career.
As a Hospital Manager, you'll have the opportunity to shape the culture of your hospital from the ground up. You'll partner closely with your Medical Director, support every department, and create an environment where people feel valued, empowered, and excited to come to work.
You won't just manage operations—you'll build a team that changes lives every single day.
Your Role as Hospital Manager
As Hospital Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of the hospital while creating an environment where exceptional medicine and exceptional people can thrive.
You'll lead and develop your team, improve workflows, partner with hospital leadership, and make operational decisions that support outstanding patient care, an exceptional client experience, and long-term hospital success.
This role is perfect for someone who loves developing people just as much as solving operational challenges—and believes that great leadership starts with serving others.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing team that delivers exceptional care every day.
- Create schedules that keep the hospital running smoothly while supporting work-life balance whenever possible.
- Partner with the Medical Director to align hospital operations, staffing, purchasing, and strategic initiatives.
- Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop team members throughout every stage of their career.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
- Coach performance through regular feedback, recognition, and meaningful development conversations.
- Navigate employee and client concerns with professionalism, empathy, and confidence.
- Help drive operational efficiency while maintaining an outstanding client and patient experience.
- Support financial performance through thoughtful resource planning, budgeting, and purchasing decisions.
- Spend time both leading operationally and supporting the clinical floor, with at least 50% of your time focused on administrative leadership.
This role requires emotional intelligence, adaptability, strong decision-making, and a genuine passion for helping people succeed.
