Job Description
An ER EMT Technician, also known as an Emergency Room Technician (ER Tech), assists doctors and nurses in the emergency room by providing technical support for patient care, including vital sign monitoring, sample collection, and assisting with procedures, while also maintaining a safe and organized environment.
ER EMT Technician- FT
Under the supervision of a licensed independent practitioner, manager and/or Registered Nurse, in accordance with the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Nursing delegation and supervision guidelines, assists with a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities.

Qualifications
Experience: One year EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic experience preferred.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Certified in the State of Virginia as an EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate or EMT-Paramedic (required) and maintains National Registered status (preferred). AHA BLS - HCP, and ACLS required. PALS, Haz Mat Awareness, NRP and PHTLS or BTLS required within one year from date of hire.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Must maintain continuing education hours to meet re-certification status as required by State and National standards.
