Job Description: Equity Assistant Trader & Operations Administrator

Functional Title: Equity Assistant Trader & Operations Administrator

Corporate Title: Associate

Reports To: Head of Trading (to Head of Equity)

Position Summary

Manage trade execution, performance measurement, database management and portfolio attribution analysis for the Equity team. Collaborate and liaise with Operations Analyst, Back-Office, Compliance, and other relevant parties for business planning, automation projects and client communications for the Group's clients. Provide administrative support to the equity research analysts and operations analyst to ensure accurate trading activity, analysis and reporting.

Essential Duties & Functions

  • Manage the processing and settlement of trades according to trading & operations guidelines and standards.

  • Assess, interpret, and report on market practices and developments as they pertain to trading.

  • Execute trades within guidelines with a focus on quality of trade execution in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Complete all trades in a timely manner in collaboration with Operations, broker/dealers and Back-Office.

  • Ensure compliance with Tokyo's zero-tolerance policy for trade errors.

  • Communicate and collaborate with various front, middle, and back-office teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of trades and reporting.

  • Fulfill daily, weekly and monthly reporting requirements.

  • Collaborate with IT to develop and implement automation projects.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 3-4 years of experience in financial services, including at least 1-2 years within a trading environment.

  • Prior experience in equities, market analysis, equity trading, fund management or portfolio administration.

  • A solid understanding of equity and financial markets is required.

  • Strong command of MS Office software and advanced Excel; proficiency with Bloomberg required.

  • VBA skills are desirable, along with experience with SQL, BQuant, etc.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize work in a real-time environment.

Compensation & Others

  • Expected Annual Base Salary: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00.

  • Work Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
