Equipment Technician – $26.00/Hour + $8/Hour Travel Premium

Pay:
  • $26.00/hour for shop work (no travel required)
  • Earn an additional $8.00/hour ($34.00/hour total) while traveling on assignment
  • All travel expenses covered, including per diem
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on generators, load banks, power distribution equipment, transformers, and low-voltage cables.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment issues and perform major repairs.
  • Dismantle, rebuild, and reassemble equipment as needed.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and low-voltage quality control checks.
  • Prepare rental equipment, including generators, AC/DC load banks, transformers, cables, and trailers.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, metering equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other shop equipment.
  • Fabricate parts and equipment to meet shop and customer needs.
  • Accurately complete repair documentation and estimate repair time and costs.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Trade school graduates or candidates with mechanical, electrical, diesel, industrial maintenance, or generator experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be at least 23 years old.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
Travel:
  • This position is primarily shop-based with no required travel.
  • Technicians who choose to travel on assignments can earn an additional $8.00/hour while on the road.
  • Travel assignments may last up to two weeks at a time, with all travel expenses and per diem provided.
Schedule:
  • Full-time, Monday-Friday
  • 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Overtime available
  • First 3 weeks consist of hands-on training in the shop.
