Equipment Specialist, TSE Lab & Warehouse Materials Handler & Procurement

We re looking for a highly motivated equipment specialist to assist with procurement and to maintain inventory ensuring smooth material flow & inventory accuracy. This is a cross-functional role that requires close coordination among different groups internally and externally of Tesla. This role involves receiving, issuing, and organizing materials for maximum efficiency; assisting our Sr Buyer Planner with procurement and bills of material (BOM) management; while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards in a lab and warehouse environment.

• Assist daily operations of material flow including receiving, issuing, organizing materials to support production schedules, maintaining inventory accuracy and driving continuous improvements
• Act as one of the primary interfaces with vendors on delivery status, issues, and resolution
• Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, cost, procurement and productivity
• Deliver clear-to-build status, material coverage, run-out reports, and other analyses as needed to plan engineering builds
• Monitor material needs for assigned production areas and track real-time progress to delivery targets
• Maintained a clean, organized and safe work environment by following 5S protocols and ensuring proper PPE is used
• Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks and flatbed carts to transport materials to/from production areas and prepare outgoing materials using proper packing methods
• Ability to lift 60lbs.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods, up to 12 hours a day
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Ability to write, speak and present effectively and persuasively
• Demonstrated skills in vendor relationship management
• Experience with technology, including laptops, scanners, Microsoft Office-based systems, and other data entry tools preferred
• Flexibility and adaptability are key
• Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for extended periods
• Strong understanding of discrete manufacturing and bills of materials (BOM)
• Passionate and high energy, capable of positively influencing others, both inside and outside of Tesla

Expected Compensation

$24.40 - $43.20/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
