Equipment Rental Operations & Sales Associate 


Elsinore Valley Rentals, Inc. is seeking a motivated team member who wants to build a long-term career in equipment rental operations, contractor relationships, and sales leadership. We are looking for someone interested in building a career in the equipment rental industry and growing with our company.


This role begins in the equipment yard, where team members learn our equipment, safety standards, and daily operations. Employees who demonstrate a strong grasp of yard operations, equipment knowledge, and customer interaction can quickly transition into counter sales and customer service roles, with continued opportunities for growth into leadership and management positions.

Yard Counter Sales Outside Sales Leadership Path


Phase 1 – Yard Operations

Learn the foundation of the rental business.


Responsibilities include:


  • Equipment check-in and check-out inspections
  • Cleaning, fueling, and preparing equipment for rent
  • Loading and unloading equipment safely
  • Maintaining an organized and safe yard
  • Supporting mechanics and service operations
Skills developed:


  • Equipment knowledge
  • Safety awareness
  • Operational discipline
  • Team coordination
The yard foundation is essential to confidently guide customers choose the right equipment and attachments, and building contractor relationships. 

Phase 2 – Counter Sales & Customer Support

Transition from operations to customer-facing sales.  This role begins in the equipment yard, where team members learn our equipment, safety standards, and daily operations. Employees who demonstrate a strong grasp of yard operations, equipment knowledge, and customer interaction can quickly transition into counter sales and customer service roles, followed by opportunities to develop contractor relationships through outside sales and jobsite visits. High-performing team members will have continued opportunities for growth into leadership and management positions.


Responsibilities include:


  • Assisting customers in selecting the right equipment for their projects
  • Writing rental contracts and processing transactions
  • Explaining safe equipment operation
  • Recommending attachments, accessories, and related rentals
  • Coordinating with yard staff to fulfill customer orders efficiently

Phase 3 – Leadership Path

Top performers may advance toward supervisory or store management roles.


Responsibilities may include:


  • Leading daily team huddles and coordinating operations

  • Supporting outside sales and contractor relationships
  • Contributing to operational improvements and company growth

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:


  • Ishands-on and mechanically inclined

Education, Skills & Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and move 50–70 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Customer service aptitude and strong communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and business software)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment applications

Equipment rental, construction, or tool experience is helpful but not required. We will train the right candidate who demonstrates initiative and a strong work ethic.
