Job Description, Responsibilities, and Measurements of Performance

As an Equipment Operator at LandCo, you'll run heavy machinery to support our civil projects, working under a foreman to shape job sites with skill. Here's what you'll do and how success is measured:

• Machine Operation: Operate dozers, excavators, graders (preferred), or loaders for earthmoving, grading, and pipe laying; work with and without machine control.
• Site Work: Clear land, dig trenches, backfill, or cut road grades to prep sites or finish utilities and roads.
• Safety & Maintenance: Follow company-wide safety rules, wear PPE, and perform routine equipment checks, reporting issues promptly.

Day-to-Day Expectations of this Position

• Working Conditions: You'll be 100% in the field, operating equipment at job sites. It's physical, weather-dependent work with variable hours (no guaranteed 40).
• Travel Requirements: Daily travel to various project sites within driving distance of the Greater Baton Rouge area. A valid driver's license is required.

The Requirements of a Great Candidate

Required:

• 3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in civil construction.
• Proficiency with dozers, excavators, or loaders; ability to work with and without machine control.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
