Equipment Operator

Waste Control, a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a full time, year-roundHeavy Equipment Operator/ Laborerat our facility in Longview, Washington.

The Starting rate of pay is $25.11/HR.

The Schedule will be Monday- Friday from 7am- 5:30pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs routine inspection and maintenance on Equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Helps with Flagging on Site to ensure traffic is flowing.
• Helps Drivers Tarp Trucks.
• Promotes continuous improvement ofworkplace safetyand environmental practices.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Works well with the public

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work;heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
• Safely Directing Traffic by Flagging in the Transfer Station.
• Helps CDL Drivers with Tarping Open Containers.
• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such asFront End Loader, Fork Lift, and other Heavy Equipment.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of light andheavy equipment operationand maintenance.
• Knowledge of basicvehicle inspectionand maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
