Pay Rate: $19.60
Shift: Monday - Friday, 2 PM - 10 PM
Job Overview:
Join our team as an Equipment Operator I, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials across our facility. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various equipment during material handling, including receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping parts, materials, and supplies.
- Enter and exit trailers with care, ensuring safety protocols are consistently followed.
- Maintain a secure work environment by safeguarding personnel within designated safety zones during equipment operation.
- Verify quantities, parts, and destinations by consulting source documents, assisting in accurate material movement.
- Support packaging processes by operating machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, and packing materials.
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of mechanical, motorized, and electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members and lead small tasks when necessary, demonstrating initiative and teamwork.
- Complete other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall efficiency of daily operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior experience with equipment operation preferred, but training will be provided.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and navigate source documents accurately.
- Good physical condition, able to lift and move materials as needed.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
