Scott Enterprises, Inc., one of the top commercial roofing and sheet metal contractors in the Midwest, is seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of construction equipment. This role is critical to ensuring our fleet and machinery remain safe, reliable, and job-site ready.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair construction equipment including telehandlers, aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and cranes
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, including hydraulic pumps
Diagnose and service two-part high-pressure spraying equipment (e.g., Graco systems)
Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
Maintain and repair small equipment such as generators and other construction tools
Service heavy-duty trucks and light cranes (experience preferred)
Perform maintenance and minor repairs on skid steers and crane lifts as needed
Identify mechanical issues and complete timely, effective repairs
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (hours may vary based on business needs)
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Minimum of two years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in construction or heavy equipment operations
Ability to pass a post-offer criminal background check and drug screening
