We are making a positive impact and we want you to be a part of it!Summary: The Equipment Engineer II is an experienced individual who will support the manufacturing and production plan, ensure the safety of the workplace, optimize equipment & maximize manufacturing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and support line capacities through cycle time and downtime reduction activities. This role will lead key initiatives and possibly support mentorship and development of others in the equipment organization.Responsibilities:Utilize data analysis and Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) to lead, support, develop and justify solutions with related groups/departments to solve complex equipment related problemsMonitor and manage equipment to ensure optimal manufacturing performance and function, while minimizing operating expenses and ensuring safetyCreate, analyze, and present reports to identify and communicate machine micro stops, breakdowns and yield impacts, and lead the development of countermeasures, striving for continuous improvementComplete and develop production work orders for equipment related items by creating or updating PLC Ladder Logic, improving mechanical design, updating vision systems, updating line layouts, etcDevelop capability of self and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiencesTeach and mentor other engineers, delegating tasks when appropriateIn some areas, manage direct reports and complete annual performance reviews of engineersEffectively communicate to all levels and shifts within the organization to ensure common understanding and directionCommunicate with local and international vendors and purchasing department to facilitate equipment repairs and replacementEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsMaintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain Right Location, Right Quantity, Right ContainerPerform other duties as assignedEducation/Experience:Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent related experience3 to 7+ years of experience in manufacturing related job or equivalent relevant experienceKnowledge/Skills:Battery production related knowledge preferred but not requiredSix Sigma knowledge preferredProficient in Microsoft Office suiteCAD Software (AutoCad, Solidworks, Catia, etc.) experiencePLC Ladder Logic experiencePositive attitude, open minded, and team playerStrong self-motivation and desire to work in a manufacturing environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and solve complex problemsStrong technical analysis and troubleshooting skillsAbility to manage projects and schedulesKorean language proficiency a plusAdditional requirements:Comply with company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirementsAble to work in both office and manufacturing environmentsHands-on support of equipmentPrompt and regular attendance within our onsite operationsFlexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessaryThis role requires up to 20% of travel (domestic and/or international)Are you ready to join us in our journey toward a better world?
