We are hiring a Senior Application Analyst-Epic Willow and Specialty Pharmacy Systems. This role focuses on supporting the maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of our Epic Willow Ambulatory, Specialty Pharmacy, and Inventory applications, along with associated third party pharmacy systems such as Pyxis ES, Logistics, Codonics, Omnicell, nCoup, Apoteca, Sentri7, Bluesight, Sentry 340B, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Install new applications, components, and upgrades to existing applications.
Configure application settings and ensure proper functionality.
Provide go‑live and rollout support for new implementations.
Interface with users and clients across the Montefiore Health System.
Support users with new applications, modules, and functionality.
Analyze required application modifications and coordinate changes with Montefiore IT staff or the appropriate vendor.
Evaluate how new systems, upgrades, or components can best meet user needs; analyze business and clinical workflows.
Interpret end‑user requirements by discussing options and guiding clients toward optimal solutions.
Assess and understand operational workflows as they relate to the system.
Create system specifications based on user requirements.
Develop test plans and perform testing for new systems, upgrades, and modifications.
Document all testing outcomes thoroughly and accurately.
Provide application implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.
Participate in technical integration and interface development.
Write and maintain accurate, current system documentation.
Support the maintenance of training materials and ensure proper distribution to users.
Design database queries and create reports using report‑writing tools.
Assist Application Analysts and team members as needed; mentor and foster development of colleagues' skills.
Deliver day‑to‑day operational support, advanced troubleshooting, coordination of updates, process improvement recommendations, efficiency enhancements, and proactive system monitoring.
Participate in a weekly rotation providing 24×7 on‑call support.
On an as-needed basis, provide on‑site support within Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and affiliates.
Required Qualifications:
Current RPh or PharmD license
Epic certification preferred (strong consideration given to candidates not yet certified but who can demonstrate the ability to become certified)
3+ years of pharmacy experience, including clinical and operational workflows; outpatient pharmacy experience preferred
Application implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support experience
Strong desktop skills, including extensive experience with Office365, especially Microsoft Excel and data analysis
Knowledge of SDLC
Strong presentation skills for senior management stakeholders
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills
Strong interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, peers, and management
Eagerness to learn with exceptional listening skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong follow‑up, documentation, and organizational skills
Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment with competing priorities
Meeting all requirements for Epic certification is a condition of employment
