Job Summary
Michigan Medicines Health Information Technology & Services (HITS) Department seeks a System Architect Intermediate to fill an entry level Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) role on our MiChart Application Infrastructure team within the Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) division. The team supports application infrastructure for both project initiatives and operational tasks for the MiChart implementation of Epics Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. You will independently manage fundamental system administration tasks for the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system, with ample access to senior administrators for guidance when advanced insights are required. In this role, you are expected to proactively master the Epic platform, positioning yourself for long-term growth by supporting installations, configurations, and troubleshooting efforts. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient professional with significant IT experience, ideally someone who has excelled as a System Administrator or has a robust technical background, including direct experience resolving issues with applications, servers, or endpoint devices.
In this position you will analyze, apply, and document best practices and provide production support for the Epic based EHR system to ensure we maintain a reliable, secure, and responsive system. You leverage enterprise technologies, with Epic data and processes as a core component, but you will also need to learn and consider all available products, technologies, and services within the domain.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced and complex environment. Requires excellent people and communication skills, ability to think critically, learn and apply technical skills. A person in this position must be self-driven, able to investigate and learn on own along with being coachable by more senior staff. This position will require occasional evening and weekend work for system maintenance and become part of the team on call rotation.

Familiarity/experience with Epic EHR or other enterprise level health care application.
Experience utilizing and/or supporting the following
Windows PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages
IIS, HTML, ASP, JavaScript, XML and CSS
Windows 10 & 11, Windows Servers, Windows Registry
Knowledge of cloud and virtualization technologies and concepts
Installation of external vendor application packages
An understanding of workstation management tools, software distribution, and networking concepts
3-5+ years [JJ2.1][MF2.2]experience with Windows or Linux Administration.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication, organizational and customer-service skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at multiple levels within the organization.
Basic understanding of network infrastructure and system administration principles.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to learn new software quickly.
Experience and/or willingness to learn cloud technologies like Azure.
