Job Title: Epic Application System Analyst
Location: REMOTE
Duration: 6+ months Contract

Job Summary:
Jobs in this family are responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying of applications and related information technologies.
In addition, they are responsible for the establishment, development, and promotion of standard architecture, as well as hardware and software components. This role provides consulting services regarding how to integrate information technologies into clinical and business processes and the effective application of industry and organizational technology standards.

This position is an emerging information technology professional within the Systems Analyst family. This position participates in the implementation, testing, installation and support of clinical and business applications.

Expected activities include but are not limited to:
  • modification of applications as needed to meet user requirements
  • The definition and development of reports
  • Participation in application upgrades, -participation in the resolution of problems and issues associated with installed applications and related information technologies.
  • Diagnosis of failures encountered in application software and related technologies
  • Quality control of all application implementations/enhancements prior to release to customers
  • Maintains an awareness of vendor and industry developments/plans in area(s) of responsibility, communication and -documentation of all relevant items and activities.

Job Responsibilities:
10% Analytical Skills:
  • Analyzes a chain of events and applies knowledge following established procedures and/or detailed specifications.

  • Products an understanding of customer requirements and their impact on the direction of a solution.
  • Posses a working understanding of the areas of IT and the Client s products and services.
15% Annual Goals:
  • Complete time management, status reports and task updates as required by management.
  • Must be able to work demanding hours when required -Must be able to perform other duties as required to meet organizational goals and objectives.
15% Technical Expertise - Breadth and Depth:
  • Possesses primary knowledge in one application area and working knowledge in one or two others, addressing and resolving problems with some guidance and supervision.
  • Applies knowledge with minimal guidance.
  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge and retooling on emerging technologies.
25% Representative Responsibility:
  • Administers assigned applications and/or technologies, following approved processes and procedures.
  • Participate in the implementation of assigned applications and/or technologies under guidance from senior staff.
  • Provides ongoing support and troubleshooting for installed solutions.
  • Monitors the performance of assigned applications and related technologies, performing required maintenance and upgrades as appropriate.
5%Communication Skills:
  • Responsible for writing fundamental documentation in a clear, concise manner, adhering to standards.
  • Shares knowledge effectively within the work team.
5% Customer Service Role:
  • Responds to user problems and presents deliverables.
  • Forms productive relationships with internal customers by listening, clarifying, and responding effectively.
  • Cooperates with and works effectively with Information Services colleagues.
5% Decision Making:
  • May choose an approach or procedure for addressing a work task, with minimal guidance.
  • Receives general direction, work in progress is reviewed routinely.
5% Policy, Procedure and Process:
  • Adheres to Department Goals, Procedures and Processes.
  • Adheres to the Health Care System Policies and Procedures.
5% Project Role:
  • Operates effectively as part of a larger team.
  • Is assigned tasks of greater duration and complexity and manages own work.

Qualifications:
  • Must have Epic PB Experience
  • Associate s degree in IS / BA Preferred
  • Will consider HS Diploma if they have 3 years experience
  • Highly experienced in hospital setting, ready to hit the ground running, little to no training needed. Self starter
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades for assigned technologies and applications.
  • Participate in the implementation and administration of IT solutions while collaborating with internal teams and customers.
  • Analyze technical issues, apply problem-solving skills, and maintain technical knowledge of emerging technologies and systems.
  • Laptop/headset/phone - Must provide their own

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Position requires at least three (3) years of direct experience with High School Diploma.
  • May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of education and/or experience stated above.

Required Education:
High school Diploma or GED.

Preferred Education:
BA/BS degree in IS or Business.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
BLS from AHA.
EPIC Certification is required.

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
Relevant Information Technology certifications.
