ABOUT THE ROLE The EPC Project Manager is responsible for general coordination, facilitation and completion of various medium and high voltage electrical EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) projects, for our large project (EPC) division. The EPC Project Mgr will oversee EPC projects from proposal development, to initiation, execution, through closeout. Essential Functions Keep emphasis on the client, develop an understanding of the client's culture, key people, and processes Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications Participate and lead strategic planning meetings Execute and provide recommendations to continually improve on GSWC's Mission, Vision & Values Lead proposal development efforts Submit RFI's (Request for Information) to clients Ensure clear definition of project scope and deliverables Create and execute project work plans Support EPC contract negotiations with Engineering partners Oversee Engineering / Design phase to ensure design is per contract specifications and standards established in the contract documents Understand, and work with procurement team to properly create project procurement plan to manage purchasing, material shipping, material receipt, and payment of materials and services Lead the Change Management process through all phase of project Lead project kickoff and EPC execution after project award Effectively communicate plans, expectations, and deliverables to project team Coordinate, lead, and represent the Company in project meetings and conference calls Act as main point of contact for projects assigned Establish and enable proper project communications plan with all project stakeholders including project support team, operations construction team, subcontractors, suppliers, and executive leadership Ensure all contract deliverables are submitted Accountable for successful completion of project Properly close out assigned projects including project documentation Prepare and manage EPC project schedules, utilizing critical path method, baseline tracking, and resource loading of manhours Formulate invoices to the customer in accordance with the contract documents, including comprehensive tracking of completed units in the field, work in progress, and remaining work for all work including subcontracted work Regular and predictable attendance Other duties as assigned Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable ABOUT YOU Qualifications Prior experience with transmission line and/or substation projects is required. 5+ years of project management in the electrical industry Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills Team player who can successfully work with diverse internal and external p rtners Contract Management - ability to read and understand contracts and complete the work in accordance with the contract documents including proper execution of the Change Order process Estimating - understand project estimates and have the capability of putting together estimates for changes and additions to the project Subcontractor Management - Ability to manage subcontractors in accordance with subcontract agreement while maintaining positive relation Construction Knowledge - Understand the work processes, tools of the trade, equipment, methods, and materials required to construct the project. This also includes the ability to discuss the project fluently with craft labor Knowledge of theoretical and practical project management methodologies, terms, and standards Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively deliver the message to a variety of audience levels Sensitivity to problems; ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong Leadership - must have the ability to lead a group High degree of accuracy and exactness is extremely important in the performance of this job WHAT WE OFFER Compensation & Benefits Salary $91000- $145000 /...
