Pay range: $ 26-31/hour DOE

Job Description:
The Environmental Technician III is a key position in supervising that the details of everyday production are executed through effective communications within the team and outside teams, departments, etc. 

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
  • Supervise segregation and packaging material for process along with the completion of required paperwork in a legible, accurate, and timely manner in accordance with appropriate regulations and Clean Earth policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Separate and pack hazardous material for transport.
  • Complete required paperwork in accordance with our practices and procedures.
  • Collecting samples of inbound waste for laboratory analysis.
  • Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 2+ years of prior experience working with hazardous materials.
  • Have the ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Ability to operate equipment, including a forklift and pallet jack
  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience sampling and receiving hazardous waste.
  • Has the ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift and possesses safe driving record.
  • Proficiency with Windows based programs (i.e. Excel and Word).
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA Regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology or related field.
