Job Summary:
Are you passionate about regulatory compliance? We are looking for a proactive Environmental & Waste Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you wont just track waste, you will manage the full lifecycle of waste streams and participate in site environmental compliance. This role will drive waste reduction initiatives and ensure our site operates safely and sustainably. You will act as the go-to expert for waste characterization, vendor oversight, and regulatory compliance, ensuring we not only meet, but exceed, federal, state, and local standards. Additionally, you will help participate as the go-to expert for site environmental protection, vendors oversight, and ensuring regulatory compliance in water permitting, spill prevention control and countermeasures, and air permitting.

What We Are Looking For:
Education: Associate's degree in environmental science, Waste Management, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience (2+ years) in environmental compliance, waste management, or hazardous materials handling.
Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and state/local environmental regulations.
Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with a passion for problem-solving in the field.

Security Clearance:
This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made. In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require a pre-employment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
