As an Environmental Services Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and comfort of everyone who walks through our doors.This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys staying active throughout the day, and understands that attention to detail can make a meaningful difference in the patient experience. From maintaining patient and public areas to supporting linen services and specialty cleaning functions, your work helps create an environment where exceptional care can happen.The starting annual salary for this position is $34,312 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.What You'll Do:In this role, you will:Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment throughout the organizationClean and sanitize patient rooms, treatment areas, public spaces, offices, and other assigned locationsSupport infection prevention efforts by following established cleaning and sanitation proceduresPerform linen distribution, collection, and related servicesAssist with cleaning and maintaining specialized and sterile areas as neededOperate cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectivelySupport outdoor maintenance activities, including lawn care and snow removal when requiredComplete specialty cleaning assignments and other environmental services tasks as directedContribute to a positive experience for patients, visitors, and team members through reliable and high-quality serviceWhat You'll Bring:We're looking for someone who:Takes pride in keeping spaces clean, organized, and welcomingHas a strong work ethic and a dependable approach to daily responsibilitiesPays close attention to detail and follows instructions carefullyEnjoys working both independently and as part of a teamIs comfortable performing physical work and being active throughout the shiftDemonstrates professionalism and respect when interacting with patients, visitors, and colleaguesCan safely operate equipment and tools used in environmental services and facility maintenanceIs flexible and willing to assist with a variety of cleaning, linen, and maintenance-related tasksPrevious environmental services, housekeeping, custodial, hospitality, healthcare, or facility maintenance experience is helpful but not required.Why You'll Love Working Here:At Roswell Park, every team member plays an important role in our mission. Qualifications:
Required Education and ExperienceThere are no specific education or experience requirements for appointment to this title; however, candidates must be able to speak and write English to be eligible for appointment and to perform the duties of this position.NOTE:Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
