The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). One of the programs two primary operating locations is Cape Canaveral, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.
In this position you will be part of an
Environmental Safety & Health (ESH) team
supporting operations in satellite processing and
launch preparation activities. This position
requires a broad safety background to include
working knowledge with Environmental, OSHA
programs, and Operations Safety. Your
responsibilities will include:
Participating in the recognition, evaluation, and
control of environmental and safety hazards
arising in or from the workplace or facility
Conducting internal compliance audits
Conducting evaluations of compliance
Annual recordkeeping
Training and other non-routine ESH projects as needed
Assist with emergency response activities.
Provides waste management and support for internal and external customers.
Writes and updates environmental and safety processes and procedures.
Performs and documents Job Hazard Analyses.
Provides supporting data for all new or existing permits and renewals.
Provides input to federal, state and county regulators through customer coordination.
Provides field support for operations and maintenance activities.
Works closely with other disciplines such as engineering, O&M technicians, and quality to ensure a compliant, safe, and healthful workplace
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Knowledge of OSHA and/or EPA regulations
Experience in ESH subject areas (for example: confined spaces, lock out/tag out, electrical safety, powered industrial trucks, hazardous waste, air reporting)
Must be able to work on-call and varied shifts on occasion
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
Able to multi-task and support any other

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
