This role offers the opportunity to support high-impact infrastructure projects that directly enable cloud growth and datacenter delivery. The contractor will be involved in both strategy development and execution for environmental permits, helping remove barriers to construction and supporting delivery of critical infrastructure.

A typical day will involve coordinating environmental permitting and due diligence activities across multiple internal and external workstreams. The contractor will review environmental assessments, permit applications, consultant deliverables, regulatory requirements, and project timelines to identify risks, gaps, and mitigation needs. The role requires frequent collaboration with stakeholders, including legal, land development, energy, design, construction, operations, community development, sustainability, EHS, and permitting teams. The contractor will also coordinate with regulatory agencies, outside consultants, contractors, and other external stakeholders to support timely environmental approvals and construction readiness.
Daily responsibilities may include managing environmental risk evaluations, tracking permit approval status, reviewing due diligence findings, supporting agency or stakeholder engagement, resolving permitting issues, reporting project status, and contributing to improvements in Environmental Excellence program for datacenter delivery and operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Ideal Background this Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental permitting, environmental compliance, environmental due diligence, and project management for large-scale development or mission-critical infrastructure projects. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and able to drive outcomes across multiple internal teams, consultants, and regulatory stakeholders.
Preferred experience includes environmental permitting and approvals in the Americas, including environmental impact assessments, permit acquisition, cultural and ecological surveys, environmental site assessments, remediation planning, and risk assessments for greenfield and brownfield sites.
The candidate should have working knowledge of environmental permitting programs and requirements, including air quality, threatened and endangered species, USACE/Section 404 permitting, SPCC, RCRA, and related regulatory programs. Experience with remedial investigations, remediation strategies, site conceptual models, and site management plans is also preferred.
Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or an equivalent field, along with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external teams.
