Hours: 8:00 - 5:00 Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
Hiring Range: EHS Minimum $27.90/hour REHS Intern Minimum $20.20/hour

CHA is seeking a dedicated Environmental Health Specialist to promote and protect public health within the county. This role plays a vital role in preventing disease and safeguarding community well-being through education, surveillance, consultation, and enforcement of state and local environmental health laws. The successful candidate will work closely with community partners and regulated facilities to evaluate environmental health conditions, conduct inspections and provide public education to ensure compliance with health regulations
Primary Responsibilities:
Education/Experience: Must meet one of the following:
License: Must maintain registration as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist by the North Carolina Board of Registered Environmental Health Examiners. Must maintain a valid N.C. driver's license. REHS Interns must become REHS within two years of registration with the North Carlina Board of Registered Environmental Health Examiners.
