Job Details

Responsibilities

Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs throughout the facility.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses.
Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and root cause corrective actions.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for production, maintenance, sanitation, and leadership teams.
Maintain and improve Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, PPE, confined space, fall protection, and emergency response programs.
Track and report safety metrics, leading indicators, and regulatory documentation.
Partner with operations to identify opportunities to reduce injuries and improve overall safety performance.
Manage workers' compensation claims, return-to-work efforts, and incident documentation.
Support environmental compliance initiatives including waste management, hazardous materials, and sustainability programs as applicable.

Qualifications

3+ years of EHS, Safety, or Environmental Health & Safety leadership experience in manufacturing, food production, distribution, or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
Proven track record building employee engagement and safety culture.
Experience with safety audits, compliance reporting, and training programs.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field preferred
CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, or similar safety certification preferred.
Experience in food manufacturing, USDA, SQF, HACCP, GMP, or regulated manufacturing environments.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
