Group Summary:

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, federal regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws.
  • Support return-to-work programs and accommodations for injured employees.
  • Maintain first aid supplies and ensure readiness for emergencies.
  • Supply first aid training for specific employees.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Coordinate safety training programs for employees and management.
  • Monitor environmental impact and ensure proper waste management, emissions control, and resource conservation.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide immediate first aid and emergency response to injured employees on-site.
  • Assess injury severity and determine appropriate next steps, including medical referral if necessary.
  • Facilitate workers' compensation claims process, ensuring timely reporting and proper documentation.
  • Stay current with industry regulations and best practices and communicate updates to relevant teams.
  • Promote a safety-first culture through engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels.
  • Quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Compassionate and supportive approach to injured employees.
  • Organizational skills to manage documentation and claims
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
  • Proven experience in EHS management, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Experience in injury response, safety, or related fields preferred.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation procedures and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct training and foster a safety-conscious workplace.
