Job Description:
Environmental Graphic Designer (EGD) Senior will maintain a variety of maps, signs and directories throughout all campuses and innovation zones. EGD works closely and collaboratively with clients to conceptualize, prepare, and design a variety of two and three-dimensional graphics, maps, and signs that identify, direct, inform, interpret and visually enhance the campus environment using computer-assisted technology and materials common to the environmental graphic design industry. Supports strict identity standards and policies. EGD works collaboratively with university leadership, project teams, consultants, contractors, and campus stakeholders to develop, implement, and maintain environmental graphic design, accessibility compliance, code related signage, signage planning, and project implementation.
Essential Duties:
DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Salary Range
$60,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate experience and education. ASU offers a comprehensive benefits package with the State of Arizona.
This position is based at ASU's Tempe campus and may require working from other campuses depending on operational needs.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, Visual Arts or related field such as English, Journalism, Marketing, Psychology, Advertising or Public Relations AND three years' experience in Architectural Signage, Environmental Graphic Design, Graphic Design or Industrial Design; OR, Seven years' experience in Architectural Signage, Environmental Graphic Design, Graphic Design or Industrial Design; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. This classification requires a current Class D Arizona driver's license.
