Position Overview:
B2 Environmental (B2E), a UES company, is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to perform environmental inspections and monitoring across the Great Plains region.The Environmental Field Technician role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and are eager to grow their technical and communication skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment. The position involves working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, with frequent travel 2 to 3 days at a time.
Responsibilities:
Conduct Phase I & II Environmental Site Assesments
Conduct on-site investigations for asbestos, lead-paint, mold, and other regulated materials.
Provide oversight and air monitoring during the removal of asbestos, lead-paint, mold, and other regulated materials.
Perform indoor air quality investigations and industrial hygiene testing.
Compile, document, and report field data using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Assist with general proposal and report writing related to environmental and industrial hygiene projects.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree or coursework in Environmental Science, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with basic environmental concepts and willingness to learn industry standards and regulations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
Effective communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting equipment.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires travel, approximately up to 70% of the time, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adhereance to all company safety protocols and use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including wet, humid, extreme cold, heat, dusty, and noisy environments.
Field work on outdoor construction sites involving long periods of standing and potentially repetitive motions.
Role is approximately 90% field work and 10% office work.
Ability to use senses including vision (close, distant, peripheral, depth), smell, hearing, and touch.
Ability to reach, climb, balance, crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel, and sit as needed.
Use of respirators and other personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Ability to access and work in crawlspaces and attics as needed.
Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Limited travel expected (50–75%), including potential overnight stays.
Limited overtime may be required.
May be required to drive long distances (hundreds of miles per day)
