Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist I 12+ Month Contract Florida Region 90% travel to customer sites: 1 day working remote (from home) Work Schedule: M-F (standard hours) Interview: 1 round of interviews, unless a 2nd is needed Pay: 35.34/hr, W 2 The NAM Energy Storage P&S EHS Technician will be responsible for supporting Environmental Health and Safety for P&S Sites in the Florida Region from Service Orders to Commissioning Projects. This role will include heavy travel within the specified region focusing on visits to the projects and services sites on a risk based approach. Visits will include performing audits, assessments, training Field Technicians on EHS Plan Tools, Programs, etc as needed. Summary: Duration: 12 Month Contract Work Mode: 90% travel to customer sites, 1 day working remote (from home) Location: Florida Region Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day EHS support for service activities and projects. Support and monitor the Projects and Services operations to ensure completion of EHS Plans. Conduct audits of the projects and service’s teams at customer sites to ensure compliance with policies/procedures. Provide immediate direct support to field service employees that work at customer sites. Utilize knowledge of the discipline, analytical thinking, problem solving, and technical experience to execute policy/strategy. Utilize internal and external sources to provide resolution to any EHS issues. Interface with other company EHS Team for support and guidance. Responsible for obtaining clearance to access customer sites. Develop strong working relationship with operational team in his/her scope. Coordinate incident investigation and ensure that investigations of accidents and compliance incidents are conducted, documented, and reported as required. Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (with Major in Health & Safety as a desired asset) or a high school diploma with relevant experience & accredited EHS Safety Training Courses. Minimum 2-3 years of experience supporting EHS initiatives. Experience in field-based EHS protocols. Ability and willingness to travel at least 90%. Preferred Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Experience of EHS program development, implementation, and leadership experience with a focus on business segments such as electric power, refining, offshore, or similar industrial sector.
