Our products support modern infrastructure through advanced roofing, cladding, façade, and insulated panel systems designed for durability, energy efficiency, and performance.As we establish our first U.S. manufacturing operation in Macon, Georgia, we are building a high‑performing manufacturing environment from the ground up and safety is at the center of everything we do.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead all EHS activities across the startup, construction, commissioning, and operational launch phases of this exciting greenfield manufacturing project.This is a unique opportunity to play a foundational leadership role in shaping the safety culture, systems, and operational readiness of a major industrial manufacturing facility.As part of a globally recognized industrial organization with world‑class safety standards, the EHS Manager will partner closely with U.S. and global leadership teams to ensure health and safety remains the highest priority across all phases of site development and manufacturing operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all EHS activities during industrial construction, commissioning, and manufacturing startupSupport production line installation, equipment startup, and operational readiness activitiesLead ongoing EHS programs supporting daily manufacturing operations, maintenance activities, operational risk reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives following facility startup.Drive OSHA compliance and implementation of site safety standards and proceduresManage contractor safety programs, onboarding, audits, inspections, and compliance activitiesDevelop and coordinate EHS onboarding and required safety training programsDeliver contractor safety orientation and ensure all personnel complete mandatory training prior to site accessConduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actionsMonitor EHS KPIs including near misses, first aid cases, medical treatment cases, and lost time incidentsCollaborate with engineering, operations, construction, and global leadership teamsDrive a proactive, behavior‑based safety culture across all phases of site development and operationsAuthorized to stop work when unsafe conditions or behaviors are identifiedQualifications5+ years of EHS experience within industrial manufacturing, heavy industrial, construction, commissioning, or startup environmentsExperience supporting greenfield manufacturing operations, industrial projects, or production line installation requiredStrong knowledge of OSHA regulations, contractor safety management, and industrial risk controlsExperience supporting equipment installation, startup, and operational readiness activitiesStrong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skillsOSHA 30, CSP, CHST, NEBOSH, or equivalent certifications requiredAt ArcelorMittal Building Solutions, safety is more than a requirement, it is a core organizational value embedded into every aspect of our operations, decision‑making, and culture.As part of a global organization driven by innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement, AMBS is committed to maintaining world‑class standards in Safety, Sustainability, Quality, and Leadership across all phases of our business.Joining AMBS means becoming part of a collaborative global team where employees are empowered to solve complex challenges, drive operational excellence, and help shape the future of modern steel manufacturing.#J-18808-Ljbffr
