Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager – Pharmaceutical ConstructionCompensation$50.00 per hour$1,000 per week Per Diem (for qualified travelers)Employment TypeFull-Time | W-2 PositionImmediate StartPosition OverviewSAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to support a large-scale pharmaceutical construction project in Durham, North Carolina.This position will work closely with project leadership, trade partners, and client representatives to oversee site-wide safety compliance and drive a proactive safety culture throughout all phases of construction. Candidates with previous pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, cleanroom, or highly regulated manufacturing construction experience are strongly preferred.The ideal candidate will have a strong construction safety background, experience managing multiple subcontractors, and the ability to support a fast-paced project while maintaining the highest safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance for all construction activitiesConduct documented daily site inspections, audits, and safety observationsReview and participate in Daily Hazard Analyses (DHAs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Pre-Task Plans (PTPs)Monitor subcontractor compliance with OSHA regulations, client requirements, and site-specific safety plansLead incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actionsSupport high-risk operations including crane activities, rigging, excavation, fall protection, confined space entry, and electrical workDeliver site-specific safety orientations, toolbox talks, and safety trainingVerify worker qualifications, certifications, and training requirementsTrack and analyze leading and lagging safety indicatorsPartner with project leadership to maintain an injury-free workplace and strong safety cultureServe as a liaison between the client, project team, and trade partner safety representativesMinimum Qualifications5+ years of construction EHS experiencePrevious pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, semiconductor, or highly regulated manufacturing construction experience strongly preferredStrong working knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction StandardsExperience supporting large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projectsOSHA 30 requiredOSHA 510 preferredOSHA 500 preferredCHST, STSC, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP certification preferredStrong communication and leadership skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and digital safety management platformsPreferred ExperiencePharmaceutical facility constructionBiotechnology manufacturing facilitiesGMP-regulated environmentsMechanical, electrical, and process utility installationsCommissioning and startup activitiesContractor and subcontractor safety management#J-18808-Ljbffr
