Job Description:

Dewberry's Baltimore, MD office is currently seeking an Entry Level Water Resources Engineerto perform a technical role under the direction of a project engineer/manager for a wide range of design services.  Individual will perform concept and final designs for drainage, stormwater management and erosion & sediment control, cost estimation, analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models, prepare technical reports, watershed master planning, stream restoration, and water quality studies for transportation and environmental projects.

Required Skills & Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental/AgricultureEngineering with a focus in Water Resources or related field is required
  • Knowledge of floodplain delineation, storm water management, culvert and bridge hydraulics, and drainage design
  • 0 - 3 years of experience; previous internship(s) preferred
  • Working knowledge in CADD platforms such as Microstation
  • Knowledge of hydraulic programs such as TR-20, TR-55, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ABSCOUR and HY-8 and GIS software is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Participate in field work as needed
  • Engineer-In-Training is preferred

The projected range for this position is $80,000  - $82,500 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
